Things to Do at Teakerne Arm Provincial Marine Park

Teakerne Arm Provincial Marine Park is a deep inlet on West Rodonda Island in the Discovery Islands, B.C. The main draw for boaters in the summer months are the Cassel Lake waterfall and water that warms enough to swim in.

The sea, like the rest of the fjords here, is deep and only has anchorable depths close to the shoreline near the waterfall and at the south end of the inlet. The space near the waterfall was crowded, so we went to the south end and were happy to be away and mostly on our own. The lake and waterfall was just a short dingy ride away.

Both anchorages are not well protected, so when the weather turned the next day, most of the boats moved to safe harbors. We stayed and were rewarded with peace and quiet, along with some drizzle and a bit of wind.
