We’re back!

Kathy and I are back in the islands attempting to get Adventure ready for the 2025 season. April is always a busy month because we get kicked out of the marina May 1st. We spend some of the off season planning for April but the implementation of the plan usually goes sideways quite quickly.

Our highest priority is replacing the motor mounts. We did our obligatory YouTube research and they made it look pretty easy. Unfortunately, they didn’t mention that the difficulty of reaching these bolts or that a 39 year old bolts might be sticky. Using various penetrating sprays has proven disappointing.

One bolt appears to have taken a special interest in foiling my plan. It’s mock and humiliated me on every attempt to “wrench” it free, as it were, from its station. My only option is to post this image of the bolt in hopes to shame it on the internet and hope that it canceled somehow.
